Boo – terribly beautiful Halloween party

Soon it is time and then it is again: trick or treat! The american custom is also becoming increasingly popular here at home. Today we have not only spooky treats for the halloween party, but also many DIY halloween buffet ideas.

Some love it, others hate it. It has become a tradition for us to celebrate halloween. Especially our kids love to throw a halloween party.

A halloween party combines many popular aspects: dressing up, feasting and, last but not least, getting together with friends. So that your halloween party succeeds, I have compiled some ideas.

Halloween decoration

Must haves for halloween decoration are definitely spider webs. These are easy to pull long and you give a room the feeling of a creepy basement teeming with spiders. Boo-hoo..

But also pumpkins, bats, skulls, witches and ghosts should not be missing on any halloween party.

You can always help with the decoration yourself. What do you think about using the hot glue gun to decorate drinking bottles with spider webs? Don't forget to glue the obligatory spider on the web. What also goes down well: you take a chalk marker and make the slates halloween-worthy, in which you z.B. Paint spider webs on it.

Or take a black sharpie and draw a pumpkin face on the bottles. Your imagination is the limit, whether evil, smiling or funny is entirely up to you. By the way, you can combine black candles with these perfectly.

Spooky food for the halloween party

Of course, at a halloween party, the food is also served to match the occasion. The buffet should not only be delicious, but also spooky.

The little guests can quench their thirst with a drink from the skull drink dispenser. If you don't want to serve juice but also don't want to sacrifice the look, simply color water and fill it into the matching skull glasses.

Also, how about a bloody snack? Witch fingers in witch blood end up as a spooky surprise on the sweet table.

Recipe witch fingers

  • 200 gram flour
  • 80 grams of soft butter
  • 70 grams of sugar
  • 1 pk vanilla sugar

  1. Mix all the ingredients together and place the pudding for ca. 30 min in the refrigerator.
  2. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees top and bottom heat.
  3. Take the dough out of the fridge and form a ca. 1 cm thick roll.
  4. Shorten the roll to ca. 10 cm length.
  5. IMPORTANT: to make the rolls look like fingers, press a whole almond into one end and score a pair of skin folds with a knife.
  6. Bake the fingers now approx. 15 min.

Recipe "chopped off hand

  1. Cook the pudding according to instructions. Take only 900 ml milk instead of 1000ml, so that the hand becomes firm. Color the pudding in skin color.
  2. Wash the disposable glove well and fill it with the pudding mixture. The best way to do it is in pairs. Make sure there's enough pudding in your fingers too.
  3. Let the pudding cool down and close the glove.
  4. Now put it in the freezer.
  5. In the morning before the halloween party, take out the hand, free it from the glove and let it thaw on the plate.
  6. By thawing, wrinkles form on the hand, so that the hand looks more real.

With the help of a blender you can make a raspberry puree from the remaining ingredients. Boil this up and press it through a hair sieve to filter out pieces from the "blood mass". To serve, pour the "blood" over the hand.

Jack skellington lollies

  • Oreo double cream
  • Popsicle sticks
  • White chocolate
  • Black food coloring

  1. Melt the chocolate in a water bath.
  2. Meanwhile, you can carefully slide the popsicle sticks into the oreo center.
  3. Dip the oreo lollipops in the chocolate and let the lollipops dry.
  4. Color the remaining chocolate black and paint the typical face of jack skellington on the oreo lollies.

Suitably you place the finished creations on a wash-genuine spider etagere.
